My sister likes to name my eggs.
She named this one "Hell hath no fury...".
I planned to do a large Trypillian style egg for quite a while, and May, 2007, I finally started this one, right after my fiance broke our engagement. (Hence the name)
I had seen a design in a book by Helen Badulak which I wanted to try, but I couldn't seem to make it work out right. Every time I'd start work I'd get frustrated and start crying. It took almost 3 months to make this. Eventually, I realized that I didn't have to make the same egg that Helen Badulak had made, so this is my Break Up egg
I've been told you can see all the anger, grief and disappointment spiraling outwards.

These egg designs are inspired by artifacts found by archeologists in the Ukraine near the village of Trypillia. Ancient Trypillians lived there more than 4,000 years ago and had a matriarchal, river trading community, leaving behind their pottery in these colors and swirling designs.
